Huge weekend of music at Ripley

Ripley Castle is set to host 3 nights of amazing music, "Sounds in the Grounds" is sure to wow audiences & starts this evening (20th August)

The forecast may not be wall-to-wall sunshine, but that won't dampen spirits at Ripley Castle this weekend. The park is set to host 3 nights of amazing music, with a stunning view across the lake to the castle, "Sounds in the Grounds" is sure to wow audiences and starts this evening (20th August) with "The Definitive Rat Pack." Speaking to Your Harrogate's Nick Hancock, organiser James Cundall said:

"We've stuck with our picnic idea for two reasons; one is that it's so nice to be able to work out and book exactly where you're going to sit. The other is that these boxes are socially distanced and I don't care what anyone says, Covid as we know, hasn't gone away and so I just think, let's be careful."
Tonight's (20th August) act are described as "an uncannily accurate recreation of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr in a sublime evening of swing." [caption id="attachment_15203" align="alignnone" width="737"] Remember Zoe from Pop Idol?[/caption] Saturday (21st August) night presents "One Night of Tina" and is set to be a spectacular rock ‘n’ rollercoaster ride through four decades of Tina Turner’s greatest hits. The concerts conclude on Sunday (22nd August) with the iconic songs and showmanship of one of the greatest ever rock bands, "Killer Queen - a tribute to Queen." James adds:
"We are very nearly sold out for Killer Queen, we've got tickets for the others, but come along and have fun. Do you remember fun and live music? We're doing it at Ripley Castle."
If you would like to book for any of the three nights, there's further information here. Listen to the full interview with Nick Hancock and James Cundall below.
