Harrogate-based Yorkshire Tea has been crowned as the nation’s favourite tea brand, according to a new poll.
As part of National Tea Day today (Wednesday 21st April), Gorgeous Cottages surveyed 1,300 people across the country to find out which is the most-loved brand.
And Yorkshire Tea beat off rivals Tetley and Twinings to win top spot, who came in second and third respectively.
Unsurprisingly, the brand’s highest ratings came from the North East and Yorkshire, where 41 per cent ranked it as their favourite.
Happy National Yorkshire Tea Day!

The survey discovered that the UK collectively drinks around 36 billion cups of tea each year, with 36 per cent of people admitting to guzzling 3 or 4 cups per day.
The nation’s obsession with tea also travels abroad with us, with 58 per cent of Brits admitting to packing tea bags when going on holiday.
And the results also show a clear divide between the controversial topic of when the milk should be added to a cup of tea, with 65 per cent voting to add the milk in last.
