We’re looking for all those epic people across the Harrogate district who have gone the extra mile to keep us going as part of our Breakfast Heroes.

And today Your Harrogate’s Nick Hancock was joined by Sophie and Alexander, two primary school children from Boston Spa, to hear their nomination!

The pair wanted to nominate the 1st Boston Spa guides and 1st Boston Spa Beavers, Cubs and Scouts for keeping them both going during lockdown and giving them something to focus on.

Sophie said:

“We’re nominating first Boston Spa beavers, cubs and scouts and second Boston Spa guides. They’ve been doing Zoom meetings throughout lockdown just to keep it all going.”

Alexander added:

“I’ve enjoyed all the activities and the online camp.”

Despite the fact that the group has moved online during the pandemic, Alexander told how he has still been able to achieve various badges, including online safety, cooks badge and disability awareness.

Listen to the chat this morning as Nick Hancock welcomed Sophie and Alexander to the breakfast show:

Do you know someone who is a Breakfast Hero and deserves recognition? It could be a keyworker, teacher, carer, family member or even a neighbour who has really helped out and deserves some recognition. Nominate your breakfast hero here and you could be joining us on Your Harrogate to give them a great big thank you!
