Your Harrogate Podcast

Friday, 15 November 2024 - 15 minutes

In this episode of the Your Harrogate podcast, presenter Pete Egerton speaks to Harrogate Town's new signing, Eno Nto. Plus, the Harrogate International Academy features too.
Harrogate Town’s newest forward Eno Nto has joined Town on a month-to-month contract, and hours after signing, scored the opener in the team's 2-2 draw at the Exercise stadium on Tuesday night against Blackpool.
Born in Derby, Enomfon Uzoma Azuma Nto came through the ranks at The Rams' Academy and featured for the club at U18 level in their 2018/19 title winning season, as well as in the UEFA Youth League.
Nto then decided to continue his career in The USA with Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but would rejoin his boyhood club midway through the 2023/24 campaign.
Following a successful trial, Eno has joined Simon Weaver's squad.
Elsewhere, a unique new football team that focusses solely on players' skills and confidence is launching in Harrogate.
The Harrogate International Academy is aimed at 12-13 year olds, offering an alternative to the traditional competitive league format.
Sessions are held every Wednesday evening at Rossett Sports Centre, led by experienced FA-qualified coach Andrew Clark.
Pete chats to Rob Darlington from the academy and principal, Aimee Wilkinson who explains that it's not just about the football...
