In this first episode of the Best of Yorkshire, Jamie speaks to "Big Ian" Donaghy about several inspirational books he has written and his ongoing journey in the band "Huge."

Meet Big Ian, a County Durham lad who lives in York and has many colourful stories to share.

Ian has great experience in the World of teaching, particularly with children deemed by some as "un-teachable" and from that career, he was head-hunted and has put his special educational talents to good use, helping people who are living with dementia.

Along with public speaking, Ian has written several books including "A pocket full of kindness," "Dear Dementia" and "Never Stop Drawing."

The latter is proving popular in schools across North Yorkshire and sends a message out that even though you may be different, it shouldn't and doesn't hold you back.

Ian has also helped raised thousands for local charity, and thrilled audiences far and wide, as the front man of party band "Huge"...
