The Ashville Podcast
Tuesday, 30 April 2024 - 28 minutes
In this fourth episode of the Ashville Podcast, presenter Pete Egerton chats to three parents whose children attend this leading Harrogate independent day school, for ages 2-18.
We hear from Mandy, whose daughter Francesca is in year 7.
Mandy can explain the difference, and benefits in her opinion, of moving Francesca from state education into the private sector.
Francesca, like all new starters at Ashville, was assigned a "buddy" on her taster day and they're still good friends now; As a parent, Mandy loves the fact that school is so friendly and each pupil is treated like an individual.
Both Mandy and Francesca have been blown away by the co-curricular opportunities at Ashville, which has also impressed Andrea and Heather.
Andrea has two children at Ashville; Jessica in year 4 and Lucas in year 2. She has been expecially impressed with how the school has taken time to nurture her children's exceptional abilities, which in some areas, are beyond their years.
Heather is mum to Amelia in year 4 and gives a good insight into Ashville's international community as they moved from America to Harrogate...
