The running shop was originally opened on Station Parade on 13th June 1992 by founder Gillian MacFarlane.

And to mark the occasion, runners arrived at the shop for their weekly SRG (Social Run Group) with some in 1990’s themed outfits.

The Social Run Group (SRG) from Up & Running took on their usual 5km route around Harrogate.

The group meet every Monday evening for a free 5km run around Harrogate, welcoming all ages and abilities.

Gillian Macfarlane, Founder and CEO of Up & Running, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating this achievement. Up & Running was born out of a passion for running and we’re proud that our ethos of providing the very best customers service remains today.

“We started the Social Run Groups for our customers to be able to meet other local runners and they’ve proven to be extremely popular over the years.

“We’re encouraging runners to come along next week in their best 90’s outfits to celebrate with us.”
