Saint Michael's Hospice charity shops re-open in Harrogate district

The Saint Michael’s Hospice charity shops across the Harrogate district have re-opened this week.

The Saint Michael’s Hospice charity shops across the Harrogate district have re-opened this week. It costs around £7-8 million a year to run the charity, and cash from the retail outlets are a much needed part of their fundraising. Tony Collins, the chief executive of Saint Michael's, said:

"It's going brilliantly, lots of people are queuing up to come and start supporting us again, lots of donations are still coming in. "It's made a really good start, obviously it's been a lot of work to do all the risk assessments and get everything in place to make sure that shoppers can have a safe and good experience"
Saint Michael's have eight charity shops in Harrogate, as well as one in Knaresborough, one in Ripon and one in Boroughbridge. If you wish to donate any items to the Saint Michael's shops, you can do this in the shops only, on Tuesdays and Fridays each week. Please call ahead to your chosen shop to check they have capacity to accept your items and confirm short-term opening hours. The Saint Michael’s Donation Drop Off Point will no longer be in operation, with supporters invited to donate their items via the shops instead.
