A man has been left with minor injuries after crashing a stolen car into a house in Ripon.

The incident occurred at around 9:41pm on Saturday (14th May).

The motorist crashed the car into a house on Kingston Avenue after “taking it without the owners consent” before losing control, according to police.

Ripon fire crews, police and paramedics were on the scene.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said:

“No people were trapped and one male occupant of car was treated for a minor ankle injury by paramedics.

“Crews assisted Ambulance and Police at the scene and gave advice.”
