The annual charity pantomime will be returning to Ripon next week.

‘Rapunzel’ will run from 21st until 29th January at the Ripon Arts Hub, once again helping to raise vital funds for Ripon charities.

The upcoming production will showcase a talented cast of Ripon performers who are passionate about giving back to their local community.

And it’s all organised by Ripon Charity Pantomime Group (RCPG) – a group founded in 1978 that has since raised over £50,000 for Ripon charities.

Rapunzel

Newcomer Ava will be playing the role of Rapunzel – a “naive but studious” girl who has been trapped in a tower for 16 years by Witch Gothel.

Experienced performer Abbie, who has been with the group since 2013, will take on the role of Prince Frederick.

And a regular that many audiences will recognise is returning in the form of RCPG veteran Ryan Stocks.

Ryan is taking on his 20th pantomime and will be sporting a bright pink wig and beautiful dress for his role as Dame Trixie.

Ripon Charity Pantomime Group

The group came into being in 1978, when a group of like-minded people joined together to perform Cinderella.

They decided this would be a great way of raising funds for local good causes whilst having fun at the same time.

The group has gone from strength to strength, with a loyal audience and they have now raised well over £50,000.
