To ensure parents and students can still make the right choice, several Harrogate District schools will be holding virtual open days and tours.
Due to safety concerns around Covid-19, primary schools across the area can no longer hold Open Days in their usual format as they look ahead to September 2021. However, to ensure prospective parents and students can still make the right choice, several local schools will be holding virtual open days and private tours in the coming weeks! To help you keep on top of the changes, we've comprised a list of open days/tours for schools across Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon: All Saints CE School, Kirkby Overblow All Saints CE School will not be holding their usual Open Day this year due to Covid-19 measures, however they've opted to give individual tours instead. Headteacher Mrs Andrews will be conducting the tours for prospective parents and children, walking them through the external areas of the village school. Beckwithshaw Primary School Beckwithshaw Primary will be holding an open day on Saturday 21st November from 10am-2pm. Contact Catherine Drury in the school office on 01423 504642 or email admin@beckwithshaw.n-yorks.sch.uk Bilton Grange Primary School Bilton Grange will be taking advantage of technology available and hosting ‘live’ virtual open days. Parents can choose from two dates: Saturday 7th November and Saturday 5th December, both at 10am. To take part, register your interest by emailing biltongrange@ycatschools.co.uk or call 01423 502375 and they will email you a link to join the event! Coppice Valley Primary School Coppice Valley are not able to offer their usual open day but Headteacher Mrs Meadus will be doing tours of the school - one family at a time. Parents looking to go along should call the school in advance who will book in a time slot. Most of the tour will be outdoors but we will be able to safely tour parts of the inside of school, looking at the hall and libraries as these areas are not being used by the children at this time. Prospective parents can call the school on 01423 563760 to book a tour. Both schools warmly welcome children from their villages, as well as Harrogate, Knaresborough and Wetherby. Grove Road Community Primary School Grove Road will be welcoming visits from prospective Reception Class parents this October, with a view to admissions for September 2021. Kettlesing Felliscliffe Community Primary School Kettlesing Felliscliffe will be welcoming visitors for an Open Day on Saturday 7th November 2020 from 10am-2pm. Killinghall CE Primary School will not be holding their usual Open Day this year due to Covid-19 measures and the new National Lockdown.

New Park Primary New Park Primary will organise tours and visits on an individual basis - give the office a call on 01423 503011 to book! North Rigton CE Primary School Due to the current circumstances, North Rigton will not be holding an open day this year. Instead Headteacher Mrs Andrews will be giving individual tours of the external areas of the school. Pannal Primary School With all the current Covid restrictions, usual visits will not be possible but we are working out ways for you to get enough information about our school to help you to make your decision. Ripley Endowed CE Primary School Ripley Endowed Primary will hold two Open Days before Christmas: 10th October and 14th November, from 10am-2pm. Starbeck Primary Academy Starbeck Primary Academy have also opted for the online approach to their Open Day and will be filming a full virtual tour of the school. This will be made available to parents in the coming weeks, however if parents wish to find out more, they can contact the school on 01423 884780 or by emailling admin@starbeck.n-yorks.sch.uk. St Peters CE Primary School St Peters have also taken the technology route, offering a virtual tour for children due to start reception in September 2021. This is now available on their website. Western Primary School This year Western Primary are offering tours of the school outside of school hours. Parents should email the office on admin@western.n-yorks.sch.uk to book a place, with tours taking place on Thursdays and Mondays throughout October at 4pm and 4.45pm. The school do ask that, if possible, families have only one person per visit! Willow Tree Community Primary School Prospective parents are asked to contact Willow Tree Primary to book an appointment to look around the school on 01423 883551. Woodfield Community Primary School Woodfield Primary are also holding two separate Open Days: Tuesday 3rd November and Thursday 12th November, both from 3.45pm- 5.30pm The tour will include a visit to the classrooms, computer suite, library and outdoor provision.
