A popular Yorkshire wedding barn is set to transform into a luxurious apres-ski lodge for the Winter, complete with Winter cocktails and themed cuisine.

Wharfedale Grange is a luxury barn in Harewood used for weddings and events, yet has been unable to host events of more than 15 people due to the current Covid-19 restrictions.

After applying to become a temporary restaurant and bar, the venue is ready to transform for the Winter and can cater for up to 165 seated guests.

Claire Thomas, Managing Director at Wharfedale Grange, said:

“After the Prime Minister’s announcement in September it was clear that weddings as we knew them would not be allowed to take place before March next year, and currently as a wedding venue we can only host 15 people.

“But as a restaurant we can cater for 165 seated guests in a socially distanced Covid-secure manner in our luxurious South Barn that we use for events.

“As an avid skier and lover of the après-ski life, it didn’t take me long to come up with the idea that it wouldn’t take too much investment to turn a mainly wooden building into a sumptuous Ski Lodge!

We hope that weddings and events will be back to somewhat normal by April 2021 or even sooner, but until then book your table or just turn up for some Yorkshire Après!”

The Ski Lodge Restaurant at Wharfedale Grange, which is still available as a wedding package for 15 people, will be open every Thursday to Sunday from 1st November until 31st March. Find out more via the Wharfedale Grange website.
