Oxygen tanks being removed from Harrogate's Nightingale Hospital

The large oxygen tanks at the former Nightingale hospital, which have loomed over the town for a year, are being removed this morning.

The large oxygen tanks at the former Nightingale hospital, which have loomed over the town for a year, are being removed this morning. Cranes are in place and a section of Ripon Road outside the Royal Hall is closed, while the work takes place. The two tall structures have overshadowed the Royal Hall, as part of the facility which was never needed to treat coronavirus patients, but has been used for CT scans for non-Covid patients. The NHS confirmed last month that the Nightingale Hospitals around the country would be closed and dismantled.
