North Yorkshire Police have issued a warning after receiving reports of fraudsters using the Covid-19 vaccine to scam people into paying them money.
The scam has seen individuals approached via text message or email with an offer of paying to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
North Yorkshire Police have warned people to avoid clicking on any links and to delete any messages they suspect to be scams immediately.
Scammers are purporting to offer the Covid-19 vaccine in return for payment. If you receive an email, text or phone call asking you to pay for a vaccine, delete it or hang up immediately. The genuine vaccine is free so be VERY wary of anyone asking you to pay for it. #scam pic.twitter.com/7xvZljYY7M
