A brand new photography business based in Harrogate has launched 'The Christmas Doorstep Project' to start the family festivities during lockdown. Boo Boo Photography first launched in October before new lockdown restrictions meant they've been unable to offer their usual range of photography products. But the business have seen a lot of interest in their 'Christmas Doorstep Project' that sees families slip into their best Christmas clothes and pose in front of their festive front door. https://www.instagram.com/p/CHQqjKlH-e6/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link The socially-distanced photoshoots usually last around half an hour and involve Boo Boo Photography owner Rachel decorating your door with festive décor beforehand. Speaking about the idea, which is already proving popular with families, Rachel said:

"I thought that it would be a really nice memory to make someones front door look really lovely with some good quality Christmas wreaths and get everyone together in their best Christmas outfits."
Having worked in the fashion industry, Rachel was made redundant in September which allowed her to pursue her dream job in photography. She added:
"I'd worked in fashion for 15 years so had been involved in a lot of photoshoots, planning them and deciding what the look and feel should be, and being in the studio. "It was from a different angle to what I'm doing now, but a lot of skills that I'd learnt over the years came together to make this feel really natural."

Since launching The Christmas Doorstep Project however, the company have been overwhelmed by the support of the local community, including from Regal Flowers who are providing the wreaths for photoshoots. Rachel said:
"Harrogate is such a great place for everyone supporting each other, but I think lockdown has just brought it out even more."
Boo Boo Photography have also pledged to donate 10% of earnings to the Leeds Cares Hospital Fund for their support in caring for Max, a 1-year-old boy from Leeds who was diagnosed with cancer. Rachel added:
"It felt like the right charity to support, particularly after everything the NHS have done so far throughout this crisis but also in Max's name."
