Harrogate Borough Council have opened a brand new 19 bedroom homeless centre in Starbeck this week.
Harrogate Borough Council have opened a brand new 19 bedroom homeless centre in Starbeck this week. The facility called Fern House is on Spa Lane and cost £2.3 million to build. The bedrooms are all self-contained and have their own kitchen and bathroom facilites. Two of the bedrooms are fully accessible. As well as providing accommodation, the centre will provide a complete support package for people who are homeless. "People placed here will be those people who are at threat of homelessness and have no accommodation to reside in. "The aim of Fern House will be to create a pathway for that person.
