Harrogate’s DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa will be bringing back its popular ‘pavilion’ next month when outdoor eating and drinking is once again permitted. The easing of lockdown restrictions, as outlined in the government's 'road map' out of lockdown, will permit outdoor eating and drinking and the reopening of businesses from Monday 12th April. And according to General Manager Andy Barnsdale, al fresco entertaining is here to stay – even during the winter. The marquee, positioned adjacent to Frederick’s Terrace within the Victorian hotel’s landscaped grounds, was a huge hit with residents and visitors when launched last August. And unlike December’s COVID-19 restriction, customers can enjoy a drink without having to order a meal. Mr Barnsdale said:
"We are really looking forward to relaunching our Majestic Pavilion with our exciting new concept on April 12. The Majestic Champagne Terrace and Gin Garden will provide a relaxed, unwinding experience to Harrogate locals and hotel guests, who can stay on leisure from May 17 onwards. "The COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on the hospitality industry, and we have had to re-evaluate our operation. Al fresco dining was somewhat forced on us, and the public absolutely loved it. "Outdoor entertaining is here to stay and thanks to our extensive grounds, we are able to take full advantage of this. "In addition to the Pavilion, we will have tables and chairs on our terrace and come the winter, the Pavilion will make way for the Majestic Winter Teepee."April’s re-opening will also coincide with the launch of a new concept, ‘The Majestic Champagne Terrace and Gin Garden’, which will offer brunch menu items between 11am and 12.30pm, from 12.30pm onwards Afternoon Tea and a wider selection of menu items will be available till 7pm.
