Luxurious Knaresborough new-build to be town's most energy efficient home

A luxurious new-build four-bedroom home in Knaresborough is aiming to be the most energy efficient house in the area.

A luxurious new-build home in Knaresborough is aiming to be the most energy efficient in the area. The four-bedroom home has been constructed using 'Insulated Concrete Formwork' (ICF) - a technique inspired by Channel 4's 'New Life in the Country'. ICF is based on hollow block or sheet components, usually made of expanded polystyrene, resulting in energy costs of less than £130 a year. David Waddington, Linley & Simpson’s director of Land & New Homes, said:

"Olbe Developments are to be congratulated on this, their first property development venture. "Priory View really is a fantastic looking family home that has been superbly designed, and one that truly respects the environment. "It occupies a choice south-facing plot, with an elevated position and uninterrupted views across fields towards the River Nidd and woodlands beyond, in one of Knaresborough's most sought-after residential areas."
The home's eco-credentials continue with bamboo flooring, PV Panels and Air Source Heat Pump, enabling the property to exceed standard building regulations.
