Lineup announced for first virtual Raworths Festival

Writers, politicians and broadcasters are among those who will come together for the first digital Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival!

Writers, politicians, historians, broadcasters, and more, will come together for the first ever digital Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival from Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th October. The renowned literature festival, now in its twelfth year, has gone online in 2020 due to the current social distancing measures and restrictions in place on live festival events. This year’s Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival is free to attend and will be streamed through the Harrogate International Festivals website. With over 20,000viewers for the digital Festival in summer, and with a programme this stellar, it’s sure to be a bumper weekend of conversation, knowledge and laughter. Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival 2020 So who is set to feature at the first ever virtual Raworths Literature Festival? Events include: Conversations with great novelists including Bernard Cornwell, Lee Child, Ken Follett, Natalie Haynes, Victoria Hislop and Elif Shafak A duo of interviews with British Labour Party Politicians Jess Phillips MP and David Lammy MP An audience with stars of non-fiction Hugo Vickers, Alexandra Shulman and New York Times bestselling author Ariana Neuman Former lecturer Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason shares a beautiful tale of determination as she opens up what it takes to raise a musical family Broadcasters and screen icons turned authors Simon Mayo, Jeremy Vine, Loyd Grossman and Rory Bremner round out the programme with entertaining and inspiring tales of their careers.
