A Knaresborough DJ, author and producer is set to launch a new book detailing some of the untold film and TV projects of The Beatles.

DJ Rory Hoy will launch his book ‘The Beatles – Acting Naturally: obscure, rare, unfinished and abandoned film and TV projects of the Fab Four’ on 2nd August.

And having already received interest in the book from abroad, Rory has teased an upcoming podcast with someone close to the famous band in the near future.

Ahead of his book’s launch, Rory said:

“I’ve tried to unearth a lot of little known and rare projects, and have done a lot of research over the past year!

“There’s already been a great deal of interest from America, and I’m going to be doing a 60 minute podcast with a famous Beatles author in the next few weeks.”

Rory enjoyed success with his previous book The Little Big Beat Book released by New Haven Publishing – the same company behind his second book.

And now that lockdown restrictions have started to ease, he is keeping busy with live DJ gigs.

He said:

“It’s great now things are opening up again and my DJ gigs started last week!

“I’m doing Deershed Festival this weekend for the sixth year, FEVA Festival, Henshaws 25th Anniversary Festival at the Arts & Crafts Centre on the 14th August, and I’ve got bookings now until the end of October, so all is good!”

The Beatles – Acting Naturally: ’obscure, rare, unfinished and abandoned film and TV projects of the Fab Four’ launches on Monday 2nd August and will be available in all good book shops. Alternatively you can find the book online at Amazon or Waterstones.
