Jet2 extend suspension of flights and holidays

Jet2 have announced that they will be extending the suspension of flights and holidays up to and including 16th May 2021. The airline have made the decision to extend the current suspension period following the government announcement that international travel will not return until at least 17th May 2021. Affected journeys will be "automatically cancelled" by Jet2, whilst customers will also receive a discount code for when they book their next holiday. Jet2 have vowed to continue refunding any affected customers, having already returned over £1 billion due to cancelled flights. https://twitter.com/jet2tweets/status/1364188796506562561?s=21   The airline released the following statement on social media:

"Following the UK government announcement that international travel will not return until 17th May 2021 at the earlier, we have taken the decision to extend the suspension of flights and holidays up to and including 16th May 2021. "Where customers yet to travel are affected by any programme changes, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will automatically cancel their booking with a full refund. Customers will also receive a discount code so that they can rebook their much-needed flights and holidays. "We have been widely praised for our industry-leading and prompt refunding of over £1bn to customers whose travel plans have been affected by programme changes during the pandemic, and we will continue this customer-first approach. "We thank our valued customers for their patience and understanding and look forward to welcoming you all back on board with us soon."
