Jack Muldoon praises Town boss after notching 50th goal for club

Town forward Jack Muldoon has praised boss Simon Weaver as 'one of the best' after reaching 50 goals for the club. Jack Muldoon scored in Town's 3-1 win over Mansfield last weekend, taking his total to 50 since joining the club in 2018. And the forward has put his form down to his relationship with Simon Weaver and his management style. When asked if he was one the best, Jack said:

"He’s right up there. He’s one of those managers that I’ve always looked to have - a manager that will put his arm round me and be close with me.

"I’ve not always played well under managers who keep their distance, I just can’t work like that unfortunately.

"I’ve always grafted for managers that speak to me with honesty and respect and they’re the ones I’ve really enjoyed playing for."

And Jack believes the club are not far from promotion, with their sights firmly set on a play-off spot. He said:
"We’re obviously very pleased with what’s gone on. "You want this to happen come pre-season when you’re training and playing matches - this is how you want the season to start.

"We’re not that far from being the club that can go to the next level."
