Have your say on plans to transform area around Harrogate station

A special online event is taking place this evening for people in Harrogate to find out more about a £7.9 million scheme to transform the area around the town's railway and bus stations. It's part of a public consultation into the proposals in which residents can have their say until 24th March. Harrogate Borough Council, North Yorkshire County Council and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority are working together on the scheme, which they say will improve walking and cycling access to the railway and bus stations, as well as reducing the levels of traffic in the town centre. The plans would include reducing the traffic lanes on Station Parade from two to one, to make room for improved cycle routes and pedestrian space. To find out more about the plans, fill in the survey about them, and get more details about tonight's online event, you can visit this website... https://www.yourvoice.westyorks-ca.gov.uk/harrogate Find more local stories from Your Harrogate here
