Harrogate Town have appointed the club’s first ever Fan Engagement Manager to improve the matchday experience for supporters.

Town have appointed Hamilton Mattock to the role with the intention of growing the fan base and increasing fan engagement.

This new role will allow the club to work more closely with Junior Clubs, schools, organisations and their own Community Foundation.

Having been involved with the club for over 15 years, Hamilton has formed trusted relationship with all supporters, and will be tasked with ensuring fans feel heard, valued and communicated with.

The club have also made changes within the Operations Team, with Abbey Smith promoted to Head of Football Operations.

Abbey Smith was initially appointed Club Secretary in June 2021.

As well as taking the role of Head of Football Operations, Abbey has been selected as one of two EFL Club nominated FA Council representatives for this season.

She will represent the EFL at the highest level, attending numerous meetings at Wembley and other venues to contribute and challenge important decisions which affect the industry.
