A Harrogate-based tutoring business are offering free 15-minute Maths and English sessions to help children across the area who are struggling with remote learning.

HG2utoring, which launched in September last year, are keen to help the community and alleviate some of the pressures of homeschooling by offering free sample sessions to primary-aged children.

Jess and Faye, founders of HG2utoring, have over 20 years teaching experience between them and offer bespoke one-to-one support via their ‘home learning support clinic.’

Following the decision for schools to close other than to key worker children during lockdown, Jess said:

“Following the announcement that schools were to once again close to most children, we were very keen to support the local community in any way that we could.

“We understand that for many parents, juggling home learning alongside their own work can be a balancing act to say the least! We wanted to put our skills to good use by offering local families the opportunity to have one-to-one support from a teacher.”

The free short sessions are designed to help children by discussing a method or concept that they may be struggling with when learning from home.

The days and times of the weekly slots are posted on the HG2utoring Facebook and Instagram page each Sunday, where families can book their free 15 minute slot.
