A Harrogate organisation is encouraging children to design a poster about how and why we should reduce our carbon footprint. Zero Carbon Harrogate is an organisation dedicated to making the Harrogate district a zero carbon community by 2030 in order to secure a sustainable future. And the aim of their Easter competition, aimed at children aged 11 and under, is to get children thinking about climate change and to inspire others to reduce their carbon footprint. https://www.facebook.com/zerocarbonharrogate/posts/2871940956352152 The 'Party Starts Here Event Co' have donated one of their signature Yorkshire Sleepover Co slumber parties as the prize, with one child winning a one-night sibling sleepover party in their chosen theme. Zero Carbon Harrogate are asking entrants to send a picture of their work (no children in the photo) to comp.zch@gmail.com, including parent/guardian's name and child's age. The competition closes for entries at midnight on Sunday 11th April 2021. See full terms and conditions here.
