A 23-year-old from Harrogate is competing for glory at the Strongman Champions League 2020 which kicks off in Florida today (Wednesday).

Luke Richardson was already named Europe’s Strongest Man 2020 in September, breaking the record as the youngest man ever to win the competition, and will now be competing at the Strongman Champions League that will run from Wednesday 11th – Sunday 15th November.

The event sees several grand prix events throughout the year before an overall winner is crowned at the end of the season.

Speaking on his Instagram page before jetting off for the event, Luke wrote:

“This is the first major step towards becoming the person I was destined to be. Time to go to work. Give everything. Leave nothing.”
