A Harrogate hospice care charity is inviting neighbours and supporters to a special Open Garden event in the hospice grounds next month.

On Sunday 17th July, Saint Michael’s is hosting a chance for people to visit the tranquil grounds at its Crimple House Hospice on Hornbeam Park.

Held between 11am and 1pm, the event will allow visitors to admire the handiwork and dedication of the hospice’s volunteer gardening team, as well as see the hospice’s ‘secret’ viewpoint and hear about future plans for the gardens.

Visitors will be able to enjoy refreshments, a raffle, live music from the Spa Town Ukes and enjoy a free ice cream supplied by corporate supporter Froneri.

Saint Michael’s Chief Executive Tony Collins said:

“Our Crimple House Hospice is just one of many places we provide our care and support from, and our resourceful gardening volunteers work hard to keep our grounds looking so attractive – patients and families to the hospice often remark on the beautiful setting and stunning views.

“After restrictions of the last two years, this event is an opportunity for us to welcome both new and familiar faces to enjoy a moment of peace and relaxation in our hospice gardens.”

Entry is free with cash donations welcome for refreshments. Assistance dogs only and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Anyone wishing to attend the event can book their preferred time slot at https://saintmichaelshospice.org/events/, by calling 01423 878 628 or emailing supportercare@saintmichaelshospice.org
