Harrogate estate agents backing 'Franks Fund' in memory of 14-year-old boy

Harrogate estate agents Myrings are pledging to donate £10 for every new Sales or Lettings board to 'Franks Fund'.

Harrogate estate agents Myrings are pledging to donate £10 for every new Sales or Lettings board to 'Franks Fund', a charity set up in memory of a 14-year-old boy who died from a rare form of cancer. Frank Ashton from Harrogate died in February 2019 from Ewing sarcoma – a rare form of bone cancer. He was a friend of Myrings Director Gemma's son Henry, as well as Finn and Alex, who are the children of Myrings Lettings Accounts Manager Rachel Hewson. Franks Fund, which has raised just over £158,000 so far, hopes to raise vital funds for life-saving research into Ewing sarcoma. https://www.facebook.com/FabulousFrank/posts/1000227653784605 Franks fundraising page, set up by his parents, talks about his last moments and why they've set up Franks Fund in his memory:

"Frank would never have wanted any child to suffer as he suffered. He would never want any family to suffer as his family are. "If his death is to have any meaning at all, it needs to be to help people who are diagnosed in the future by raising funds that can be invested in much-needed research."
Ewing Sarcoma Ewing sarcoma most commonly affects children and young adults aged 10-25 years old, and makes up about 1.5% of all childhood cancers. A child, teenager or adult is diagnosed with primary bone cancer every 10 minutes, but primary bone cancer received just 0.04% of funding from the major UK cancer charities in 2017/18. A lack of investment means that neither treatment nor survival rates for the disease have improved in over 30 years, and that there’s little chance of survival if it returns.
