Residents at a Harrogate care home threw a party fit for a Queen in honour of her majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.

McCarthy Stone’s Matcham Grange Retirement Living Plus development invited friends, family and locals from across Harrogate to join residents and staff for a fun-filled afternoon.

The Wetherby Road home laid on food, drinks and musical entertainment to celebrate the occasion.

Fiona Brooks, Divisional Sales Director for McCarthy Stone Northern, said:

“The Queen’s Jubilee is a truly historic occasion, and it was fantastic to see so many locals in attendance to share our celebrations here at Matcham Grange.

“It was fascinating to hear some of our homeowners reminisce about the Queen’s Coronation all those 70 years ago too.

“Everyone who came along had a fantastic time, it was clear to see everyone enjoyed socialising and celebrating what was a truly special day.”

McCarthy and Stone held a Jubilee Party at Matcham Grange in Harrogate.

McCarthy Stone is hosting over 450 events at its developments throughout the UK to help commemorate the Queen.

Kelly Cooper, Estates Manager at Matcham Grange said:

“Everybody really enjoyed the Jubilee event at Matcham Grange.

“It was fantastic to get together and celebrate such a momentous occasion, as well as hear some of the truly wonderful stories people had to share about the Queen.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to McCarthy Stone for putting on such a lovely event – it was a great day.”
