A care home group based in Harrogate has won an award for being one of the top 20 of its kind in the UK.
Carefound Home Care have received the accolade based on reviews from people they care for, plus their friends and relatives.
The annual awards from homecare.co.uk recognise the top rated home care providers in each region.
Oliver Stirk, Managing Director of Carefound Home Care said:
“The recognition is yet another example of the incredible work our carers and care management teams do to change the lives of our clients and their families every day.
“This award is especially welcomed because it is based on actual reviews from our clients and their friends and family, who clearly recognise the outstanding care our home care team provides across Yorkshire.”
There are 678 home care groups and 10,641 home care providers in the UK.
Nearly a million disabled and older people receive care at home so they can stay living independently in their own homes.
This includes help with getting dressed, washed, preparing meals and drinks and administering medication.
Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of homecare.co.uk, said:
“People are living longer with multiple health conditions and so home care providers which offer tailored care to people living in their own homes are hugely important in today’s society.
“During the last two years in the pandemic, home care providers played a key role in caring for elderly and disabled people, with many self-isolating at home, and their friends and family unable to visit due to Covid restrictions.”
Speaking about Carefound, Amanda added:
“Carefound Home Care has proved that it provides a high standard of care and we’d like to congratulate it on being a top home care group!
“It is a huge achievement to be named as one of the Top 20 home care groups in the UK.
“Our reviews provide a valuable insight into the quality and kind of care given by providers and can be a vital source of information for those looking for care at home.”
