The boss of a Harrogate asset finance company has been honoured in a new book about leadership and innovation.

Chris Brown, Managing Director of The Electric Broker, was invited to Westminster Abbey for the work he has done in encouraging the uptake of electric vehicles.

Chris has been honoured as a Patron for the History of Parliament Trust’s ‘300 Years of Leadership and Innovation’ book.

Chris said:

“It is an honour to be appointed as a patron for the official 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation book. Throughout history, the UK has always been at the forefront of innovation and revolution, and I’m proud to be a part of that.

“Being a patron of this book is a privilege and highlights the commitment to creating a better future. It shows all the important work The Electric Broker has already done, but there is still a long way to go.”

Chris Brown of The Electric Broker was invited to Westminster Abbey in London last month.

The launch of the book coincides with the 300th anniversary of the appointment of Britain’s first prime minister, Robert Walpole, in 1721, and the year of Her Majesty The Queen’s 95th birthday.

The book celebrates leadership across the full spectrum of British society: from Parliament and Crown to captains of industry and those pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Chris added:

“Sustainability needs to be at the heart of everything we do, to ensure a clean and vibrant future for upcoming generations.

“At the centre of that is how we move about. Humans are moving more now than ever, and it is time to move past traditional fuel methods for more environmentally friendly alternatives.”

The Trust’s book will recognise the journey Chris has been on in developing The Electric Broker, whilst recognising how much is left to do when it comes to reducing the carbon emissions from transportation.
