Vaccinations that were due to take place in Harrogate and Ripon tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd February) have been rescheduled due to the forecast of heavy snow.

The Met Office have put a yellow weather warning in place for the Harrogate district with snow expected early in the morning.

And the forecast has lead to appointments due to take place at the Yorkshire Event Centre at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, and at Ripon Racecourse to be rescheduled.

Appointments planned between 8am and 12:45pm will be moved to a later date, whilst appointments currently scheduled for tomorrow afternoon will go ahead as planned.

A spokesman for NHS North Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group said:

“Heavy snow is forecast for tomorrow morning and in the interests of patient safety, appointments due to take place at the Yorkshire Event Centre at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, and at Ripon Racecourse between 8am and 12.45pm are being rescheduled.

“GP practices in the Harrogate District are currently in the process of contacting all affected patients directly and will be booking those patients in to the next available clinics.”
