Fountains Abbey will be appearing on Channel 5 show ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ tonight (Thursday).

Crews from the series filmed on the cricket pitch at the Studley deer park for scenes in season two.

A spokesperson for Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal said:

“Thank you so much to the All Creatures team for taking us on a journey back in time with the beautiful sets and costumes. Sorry about all the deer poo!”

The popular drama revolves around a trio of veterinary surgeons working in the Yorkshire Dales in 1937.

It’s based on ‘If Only They Could Talk’ by Alf Wight under the pen name of James Herriot.
