There are currently eight alerts and warnings for flooding in the area, including alerts for Lower River Ure, Middle River Nidd catchment and River Crimple catchment. Warnings remain for the River Nidd at Hunsingore and in Boroughbridge. https://twitter.com/your_harrogate/status/1733048603382251834 Motorists also reported issues with flooding during rush hour last night, with large parts of the A61 between Ripley and Killinghall submerged in water. And this morning, residents of Bishop Monkton are waking up to severe flooding after the beck flooded. The Environment Agency updated the government website at 1:30am this morning. It said:
“We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area. “Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded.”It plans to update the warning this morning, with more heavy rain in the forecast this afternoon and at the weekend.
