Flamingo Land tease opening of new multi-looping rollercoaster

The construction of the new rollercoaster, which is still unnamed, was due to be completed in 2020 but has been delayed due to the pandemic.

Flamingo Land is hoping to open it's highly-anticipated multi-looping rollercoaster next year. The construction of the new rollercoaster, which is still unnamed, was due to be completed in 2020 but has been delayed due to the pandemic. The new thrill ride contains 10 inversions and will have a similar layout to Colossus at Thorpe Park in Surrey. Ride Manager Jay Burnley told Your Harrogate:

"We’re aiming for next summer although we can’t promise that yet!
"The team that built it came from Germany, but the ride itself is manufactured in Switzerland."

The coaster will be 33 metres high and travel at speeds of roughly 85 kilometres per hour.

And Jay can't wait for the new ride to be completed.

He added:

"It’ll be our flagship ride when it’s finally open.

"It’s really exciting. We’re a way off yet, but I cannot wait to sit on that ride and go round it for the first time."

Originally manufactured by Intamin for Hopi Hari in Brazil, the ride was never installed at the theme park and was held in storage.
