Firefighters have rescued a dog which fell 15 metres and landed on a ledge on the side of a ravine at Nidd Gorge. It happened at around 11.15am on Wednesday morning. The dog's owner had tried to get down to rescue the animal himself but couldn't make it. Once fire crews arrived, they used specialist equipment to lower a firefighter down to where the dog was. The dog, a labrador called Henry, was then wrapped in a sheet and successfully brought to safety. Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here Picture courtesy of Google Street View
