Crime and punishment the theme for half term at Ripon Museums

Crime, punishment and a 'whodunnit' murder will be the themes for the half term festivities at Ripon Museums. Running from Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th October, visitors will take on an interactive trail across the three museum sites. And through learning about policing in the Victorian era and the possible method of the crime, families can take their chance at solving a murder and guessing 'whodunnit'. A spokesperson for Ripon Museums said:

"Visitors will learn about how policing worked in the Victorian era, about plants and poisons in the Workhouse Museum Garden, before discovering forensic science at the Prison & Police Museum. "Solve the crime and you could be in with a chance of winning a small prize!"

Visitors can also explore the darker side of the city’s history with a Ripon Ghost Walk on Sunday 31st October.

Further information about all of our events and activities is available at riponmuseums.co.uk, and tickets for the talk and ghost walks can be booked online.

Contact the museum team by emailing info@riponmuseums.co.uk or call 01765 690799.
