Baltzersens Harrogate launch competition as part of UK's first brunch campaign

Scandinavian-inspired cafe Baltzersens is one of just four cafés in the UK to take part in the first ever National Brunch Campaign.

Scandinavian-inspired café Baltzersens is one of just four cafés in the UK to take part in the first ever National Brunch Campaign. The campaign aims to celebrate the nation's love of brunch and is being organised by Jarlsberg. And Baltzersens, found on Oxford Street in Harrogate, will be offering brunch lovers the opportunity to win brunch at their café for two.

Owner Paul Rawlinson said:

"We're thrilled to have been asked to take part in the UK's first-ever National Brunch Weekend. Like the Jarlsberg survey has revealed, we have seen demand for brunch increase since we have reopened, particularly at weekends, as people have a bit of a lie-in, skip breakfast and head straight to brunch.

"We're so grateful for all the support we've had, this is our chance to give something back to our wonderful guests at the cafe."

Baltzersens is the UK's longest established Norwegian-inspired cafe, opening in Harrogate in 2012.

They were keen to get involved in the campaign after research revealed that 1 in 5 people now have brunch as a regular meal, with 44% of these people skipping breakfast to go straight to brunch. Dorota Dziedzic, Assistant Brand Manager for Jarlsberg, said:

"We are so pleased to have Baltzersens taking part in the UK's first-ever National Brunch Weekend.

"We know how popular they are as a place to enjoy brunch in Harrogate and it's great that Jarlsberg is a significant part of their menu.

"We are optimistic that National Brunch Weekend will become a major part of the UK's foodie calendar, and look forward to working with Baltzersens on our brunch campaigns in the future."

The Baltzersens competition will run on Instagram between 25th and 31st October. See the post below for details on how to enter: https://www.instagram.com/p/CVcZW8ZMUn0/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
