Weather warning for heavy rain issued for Harrogate district The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in the Harrogate district today (Monday). The weather warning will come into place at 12pm and will remain until 5am tomorrow morning (Tuesday). A yellow weather warning means that the weather may change or worsen, potentially leading to travel disruption. A Met Office spokesperson said:

“Heavy rain may lead to some flooding and impacts to travel. "Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible, spray and flooding on roads will probably making journey times longer and bus and train services will probably be affected with journey times taking longer."
