Urgent appeal from Grove Road Primary school

Grove Road Community Primary school has today spoken to Your Harrogate to launch an urgent appeal to support families where children are now isolating at home. Two of the school’s bubbles have been forced to go into isolation meaning around 140 pupils are now staying at home. Assistant Head Chris Harrison explained this has a huge knock-on effect:

“This means that parents may now be unable to work while families are isolating and we know that will put a tremendous strain on finances”.
Today an appeal is launched for food, books, toys and digital equipment to be donated via the school office or from the school’s official Twitter account @grove_road Chris Harrison asked for as much community support as possible “we want families to know how strong the community is here and how much love and support there is around Harrogate. We are extremely grateful to any local businesses or individuals who will help our families this week”. We will have regular updates on the appeal here at Your Harrogate
