There are now just two weeks left to nominate someone for this year's 2026 Local Hero Awards.
Nominations remain open for the awards, organised by Your Harrogate in partnership with Harrogate Town AFC, which celebrate the remarkable individuals and groups who make a difference across the Harrogate district.
The awards will return for their fourth year on Friday 8th May at Rudding Park Hotel, bringing together the community for an evening recognising inspiring local people.
There are 14 categories in total, highlighting everything from fundraising and volunteering to acts of bravery and outstanding community achievements that often go unnoticed.
Main sponsor O’Connor Chiropractic, run by Jason and Debbie O’Connor, is continuing its long-standing support of the event.
Nominations will close on Saturday 22nd March, with judging scheduled to take place on the 24th and 25th March ahead of the ceremony in May.
Sarah Barry, Chief Executive of Harrogate Town AFC and Trustee of the Harrogate Town Community Foundation, said the awards are an important opportunity to recognise the people who go above and beyond in the community.
