TV presenter to host charity golf day in aid of Wetherby children's hospice TV presenter Duncan Wood will be hosting an upcoming charity golf day in aid of Martin House Children's Hospice. The event, which aims to raise much-needed funds for the charity, takes place at Wetherby Golf Club on Friday 8th September. And the host for the day will be TV presenter Duncan Wood, who is an ambassador for Martin House. The charity is urging teams to sign up now to take part. Maddie Bentley, events manager at Martin House, said:

“Our Golf Day is always popular, and a great day out for a group of friends, family or as a team day for colleagues, while raising money for an important cause.”

The day will be rounded off with a drinks’ reception, three-course dinner at the clubhouse, along with a prize giving and auction. Maddie added:
“We’d like to thank Wetherby Golf Course, who offer us their amazing facilities free of charge every year, our headline sponsor Retail Response, and our drinks reception sponsor GMI Construction, whose support means more of the money raised will go to providing care to families.”
Martin House cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from across West, North and East Yorkshire.
