The 164th Great Yorkshire Show returns to Harrogate's Showground next week and will run between Tuesday 11th and Friday 14th July. The Yorkshire Agricultural Society, the farming charity that organises the event, introduced the show's four-day format during the pandemic and capped visitors to 35,000 per day. This format has remained in place and tickets are also now available in advance. Charles Mills, Show Director, said:

"A huge thank you for the great support from our wonderful county, it means a tremendous amount to me.”164th Great Yorkshire Show The Great Yorkshire Showground will feature various stalls and activities during the four-day event. The Cock O The North competition will be held on Thursday in the Main Ring at 3:45pm when some of the best showjumpers in the UK will compete. Olympic medallist Graham Fletcher, who is part of the show’s showjumping committee, has won the accolade four times on four different horses while his sons have also regularly competed. Most recent winner was James Wilson on Imagine De Muze. The Main Ring will host incredible flying Frenchman Lorenzo who last appeared to packed crowds in 2018 while Sporting Soprano Lizzie Jones will also perform twice a day. Expect the best of British livestock when Beef Shorthorn, Charolais and Longhorn Cattle Societies all host their national competitions. The Show will feature several thousand sheep, all vying for the top title, with two more breeds, the Badger Face Texel and Castlemilk Moorit, making their stand-alone breed debuts this year.
