TalkSPORT has published a list of the top ten football grounds in the UK, and Harrogate Town's Exercise Stadium has made the cut.
The list has been compiled by controversial talkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham, who has successfully completed “the 92” challenge.
It involves visiting the football ground of every club in the top four tiers of English football, of which there are 92.
And Peterborough fan Durham has centred much of his life to travelling the country, whether reporting for talkSPORT or supporting his team.
Upon his completion of the challenge, he compiled a list of the UK’s top ten grounds - and both Harrogate Town (10th) and Leeds United’s Elland Road (2nd) feature.
On Harrogate, Durham wrote:
“It’s a very beautiful town Harrogate and a very tidy ground. I was expecting it to be a bit ramshackle, but it's really nice.
“And the reason why it's in there is because I spent the second half of that game on a terrace behind the goal, proper old-school.
“I read part of a book that said ‘football's pulse can only really be taken from this position’ the day before I stood on the terrace, and it kind of resonated with me. I've got to have Harrogate in there.”
Durham visited Harrogate Town's Exercise Stadium for their 2-0 win over Doncaster Rovers earlier this month.
He labelled Town "superb" and said the "old school terrace" behind the goal was "a real treat."
His full list of the top ten grounds in the UK is below:
- Queens Park Rangers
- Leeds United
- Peterborough United
- AFC Wimbledon
- Aston Villa
- Newcastle United
- Fulham
- Charlton Athletic
- Nottingham Forest
- Harrogate Town
Home side superb on my 1st visit to @HarrogateTown, beating top of the table @drfc_official 2-0. Anthony O'Connor an absolute monster at the back, James Daly and Ellis Taylor also impressive. The old school terrace behind the goal was a real treat. I'm nearly there..... #IYKYK pic.twitter.com/NzJ9CjlnXB
