Street entertainers will be returning to Harrogate town centre every weekend throughout August.
Funded by Harrogate BID, ‘Team BGee’ have already caused a storm on social media after a video of them went viral with over 1.7million views.
The group danced and sung along to classics from ‘Tragedy’ to ‘Night Fever’, getting members of the public involved.
But it was their performance of ‘Islands in the Stream’ that took social media by storm.
Matthew Chapman, Harrogate BID Manager, said:
“As the BID, we fund this street entertainment to bring an exciting energy to our town centre.
“The guys at MarkMark Productions always bring a positive vibe and do such a fantastic job of interacting with the public.
“Keep an eye out over the coming weekends as they’ll be back with a range of different costumes and performances…”
The BID team work with partners including MarkMark to not only create a great first impression as part of the Harrogate welcome, but to increase footfall and spend and bring a unique animation and experience to the town centre.
Street entertainment will be on show in Harrogate on every Saturday in August, as well as around Halloween and Christmas.
If you are an organisation or local group that feel you can support a vibrant and experiential town centre please contact the BID team on info@harrogatebid.co.uk
