St Robert's Church to hold 13th annual beer festival

The 13th annual beer festival will be held this month.

The 13th annual Pannal Beer Festival will take place later this month.

The festival will run from 5pm to 11pm on Friday 20th and from 2pm to 11pm on Saturday 21st September at St Robert's Church.

A raffle will be held on both Friday and Saturday evenings, along with a pub quiz.

For those who don’t drink beer, there is a Prosecco Bar and wine, cider and soft drinks will also be available.

Organisers will be presenting ‘Hymns with Beer', giving visitors an opportunity to worship in music and give thanks.

The list of beers on offer will as usual be from our excellent local brewers – both from Harrogate and close by.

They have two brand new beers to try this year from the recently launched nano-brewery in Beckwithshaw – John of Gaunt Ales.

Beers available are as follows:

  • Copper Dragon;  Golden Pippin – a Golden Ale from this Skipton brewery
  • Daleside Brewery;  Blonde – the ever-favourite session Blonde Ale
  • Harrogate Brewery;  Harrogate Best – their prize-winning Best Bitter
  • Harrogate Brewery;  Harrogate Pale – a delicious Pale Ale; runner-up in the Beer of the Festival two years ago
  • John of Gaunt Ales;  Hop & Glory – a tasty Strong Bitter from this new nano-brewery in Beckwithshaw
  • John of Gaunt Ales;  Beckwithshaw Blonde – a Premium Blonde Ale freshly brewed for the Autumn equinox
  • Kirkstall Brewery;  Three Swords – a return to our Festival of this popular Extra Pale Ale from Kirkstall
  • Roosters Brewery;  Yankee – their flagship Premium Pale Ale
  • Rudgate Brewery;  Battleaxe – a Premium Bitter from the prize-winning Marston Moor brewery
  • Saltaire Brewery; DDH Citra – a double dry hopped Pale Ale from Saltaire; last year’s Beer of the Festival winner
  • Timothy Taylors Brewery;  Landlord – multi-award winning Premium Bitter from the brewery in Keighley (and winner of Beer of the Festival two years ago)

Beer Festival tickets are £15. As well as admission, this covers a free, ‘badged’, half-pint, tasting glass and four tokens for half-pints of beer or glasses of prosecco.

Additional tokens for beer and prosecco will be on sale at the door. In the event of poor weather, all activities will be housed under cover.

Tickets will be on sale at the door or you can buy your tickets online here.
