A Ripon mum has received an afternoon tea surprise as a 'thank you' for caring for her family.
We’ve teamed up with Mama Doreen’s to celebrate Afternoon Tea Week by delivering afternoon tea to deserving people across the Harrogate district.
We asked for your nominations via our website, with a new winner receiving a special treat each weekday throughout the week.
And our third winner of the week is Mandy Carling, who was nominated by her daughter Leah.
Mandy has been supporting her family, namely her mother-in-law who was diagnosed with dementia and her husband, who has heart failure.
She has also been there for daughter Leah, supporting her with her mental health and volunteering at MIND in Harrogate during the bank holiday weekend.
Speaking about her mum, Leah said:
"My mum looks after everyone. She's been a carer for my gran with dementia and my dad who has heart failure. She's been supporting me with my mental health and is now supporting me to go to uni to train to be a therapist.
"She does everything for everyone else and she never has time to do something for herself like get afternoon tea."
Mandy received a special surprise in the form of Mama Doreen's afternoon tea, delivered by Your Harrogate's Pete Egerton.
