Harrogate Hockey Club has been chosen as one of the venues to host superstar hockey goalkeeper, Maddie Hinch.
Olympic gold medalist goalkeeper set to visit Harrogate Hockey Club Harrogate Hockey Club will be visited by an Olympic gold medalist and a superstar of the sport today (Tuesday). Maddie Hinch has selected the Club to be one of her destintions during her Celebration Tour camps. The goalkeeper announced her retirement from International hockey this year following a long and successful international career. She was a hero of Team GB's Olympic team in Rio 2016 when she saved all 4 penalties in the shoot-out against Netherlands to win Olympic Gold. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zoEnpwnFNo Maddie was voted the world’s best GK in 2016,17 and 18 and is one of the most well-known personalities in the sport. She will be bringing a team of experienced goalkeeper coaches to Harrogate as well as hosting a goal-shooting camp. She will be coaching all day and also doing a demonstration of her skills before posing for pictures and signing autographs. A spokesperson for Harrogate Hockey Club said:
"This camp is full for participants but Harrogate have several holiday camps with their own top coaches throughout summer.
