Nidderdale Community Orchestra to return for first performance in 18 months

The Nidderdale Community Orchestra is returning for a live performance next month for the first time since March last year.

The Nidderdale Community Orchestra will perform live next month for the first time since March last year. The group have endured an 18-month absence due to the pandemic, but will be returning to perform at Memorial Hall in Pateley Bridge on Sunday 5th September. The performance, titled 'Come and Play', will run from 1:30pm until 4pm and will mark the resumption of the orchestra's usual activities. Treasurer and spokesperson John Metcalfe said:

"Choirs, orchestras and music groups across the country have been unable to meet and as a result the whole of the amateur music scene has been devastated. "It’s been a long eighteen months of inactivity but now, finally, with the pandemic reduced to manageable proportions, restrictions have been lifted and once again live music can be rehearsed and performed."
